I'm in the process of rebuilding rear leaf springs I bought from Broncomatt many moons ago. Had them sandblasted, primed and semigloss black at this point. Any thoughts as to installing graphite shims or should I just spray graphite in between each leaf?

I still have some plastic pads in place, a little worn but to me serviceable. I've been reading about tin shims and graphite strips that go through the center bolt hole location. I may be over thinking it and should just spray some dry teflon between each leaf and be done with it.

I went and ordered 20' of leaf spring liner along with a can of Slip Plate dry graphite lube. If I get a couple of years or more out of this setup I'll be happy. The local vendors wanted $45 just for the liners so hopefully I made a good choice by saving $20 on Amazon. Now I got to wait till the 13th.

Didn't have to wait long as all the parts came on Saturday. Cleaned with alcohol and sprayed Slip Plate in between each leaf. Then added 10' of leaf liner to each pack, should have bought 40' of leaf spring liner but I think what I have will suffice. Added the 6 degree shims, hopefully they are installed per instructions. All I need now is find the bushing and shackles. Check this item off the list!
