4.6L? what happened to the first one? don't know much about them. i've had a few 5.4's and they seemed ok. one knocked some, but did that from when i bought it to when i sold it. never got any worse.

my fuel pump bit the dust today :banghead:

nothing compared to a re-build, but just another fatality to add to the list.

its a 2005. with 4.6 and 5spd.

im gonna call dealership where i bought it from and see if there is anything that they are willing to do if not then gonna start troubleshooting. but if its gonna get rebuilt then gonna add some horses under the hood...

I always keep a spare LP pump in my rig. Ask me why.

I'd ask you, but I already know the answer. You burn them up by running them dry when you run out of gas all the time Big Grin

Does it sound like the bottom end knocking or maybe the timing chains? They say the 3V 4.6 is very picky about oil viscosity for the chains and cam phasers.
