Great write up as always! I will browse the pics in a few.

What was the culprit of your motor bogging down under load? Dirty MAF?

Sounds like a fun trip. Why do you think you are having so much trouble with heim joints? Do you have a lot of thread exposed? Are they spaced?

Thanks for the props.

Yeah, heims are spaced. Threads aren't the issue, it is the heim itself. Every one that I've broken has broken around the joint itself, usually 90" from the threaded portion. The 'band' around the ball just lets go. I'd never run a 3/4" heim on anything if I had a choice. I'm going to seriously contemplate stepping up to 7/8" heims. Radius arms are 1-1/4", so I'm good there.

It was the dirty MAF issue again. Cleaned it and the truck runs like a top. I guess the brake booster could have been a culprit as well. Replaced it as I suspected that it was leaking some and causing a vacuum issue. Either way...

Tried uploading pics, but they're too big.

Great pictures... I see the previously rolled Amigo made it back too. Looks like a good course with a lot of different terrain. I don't recognize the big blue scout?

Who leads the class A points now?

Oh boy, don't let the isuzu guys hear you calling that thing an amigo. They'd be all crossed up with you over that. It is some kind of rare and unknown thing (that apparently isn't doing so well).

The course has a ton of various features. Honestly, a small vehicle is about the best choice there. The bronco feels too big at times.

The Scout is a B class rig. They come from the Rocky Mount/Wilson area and are a really nice bunch of guys. Met them for the first time at Auburn last year. One of them is trying to find an EB for his girlfriend. At least she has taste Big Grin

Oh, and I think Brad Carrier is in the points lead.

You can run a 7/8 heim and sleeve it with an insert and stick with the 3/4 stuff you already have. It would be a fairly easy upgrade and may hold together better.
