Has anyone done the 8lug conversion?
How to and what will I need? Just looking into it.
Im also looking into an sas on a fsb 1980 model.

no advantage in going 8 lug unless its installing 1 tons. not sure what rear axle you have...the front should be pretty easy since its a form of d44(TTB). i doubt there is a conversion for the rear...i could be wrong

in that case, you might be able to find a alum adapter to convert the 5 to 8 and also if you get the right thickness...you can make it match the front width. almost all front axles are normally wider than rears
