68 Bronco
Well I already ordered the brake lines probably should of just did that again but after how bad the front and rear axles look figured better off to just get the pre bent one's and be done with it at least till I switch over too the 76 axles another problem for another day

As for the coupler not sure what one I will need maybe that is something you all can give me a little education on so I can get the parts on order when I am ready to put the auto collumn in.

Just have to measure the diameter and count the spines for each side.

Ok let me pass this by you all I called BC Bronco's and they had me talk to Chuck and he said don't even bother with the braided stainless if I wanna run fuel lines inside the frame rail just get stock fuel hose and push it through the frame and because it is carburated shouldn't need any special fittings to connect at either end.

Ok will measure and count the splines guess I will need the colapsble lower shaft and ujoints for both ends or at least for the end connecting to the steering box?

By inside i meant inboard not physically inside the rail. I have done this and do not recommend it. Ethanol eats up rubber line too much and it is a nightmare running line inside like that once let alone in the future for replacement.

Ok so time for an update, to start with I bought some 77 axles that have 4.88 gears in front and rear with a soft locker up front and summers brothers locker with 35 spline in the rear. Ordered new brakes for the rear and will be doing same for the front, once I get into them and determine if I need new hubs or just rotors. While at SC I bough a set of silver vein JD long arms that will go with the new axles.

Also while I was at SC the first loads of dirt where delivered to level out the spot to put my new building I will be getting put up soon a 24 x 30 shop.

Plans on the axles are to sand blast and paint, and redo the brakes, then install.

Nice. I wouldn't sand blast a complete axle. Heck, I wouldn't even blast an empty housing. A cup brush on an angle grinder works well and keeps the nasty stuff out of the internals

I just had my rear axle housing acid dipped to remove all the rust crude I couldn't remove from inside the tubes. I had to wash off the residual acid with water hose and as you would imagine flash rust kicked in bad within days. My plan is to have the housing powder coated, hard to beat $60. Ill make aluminum covers for all three openings. I may even use sealant to ensure no blasting media doesn't find its way inside. In the end I know media will get in but I will do my best to minimize it. I would post pics but I've lost my contributor status.
