You forgot a few games:
- jump start the jalopy (must be done on the most difficult part of the trail)
- running on empty (tank must be filled while vehicle is on a steep incline
- musical gas caps (first person to lose theirs loses 10 points)
- empty bud light can throwing contest (furthest distance while strapped in vehicle. To be followed by the trash clean up contest).
- campground cachopony- first person to get yelled at loses 50 points.
On NC you can delete a thread you create and it deletes the entire thing, comments and all (at least in the for sale section). Pretty sure the rest works that way too.

Someone needs to hop on nc4x4 and stir the pot a bit. I would love to know what was posted that caused that thread to be deleted. Bart, surely you have the subscription replies in your email.

Nah, I don't subscribe to anything. It was a lot of talk about the entry fee vs what you got for it and comparing it to other events.
A few people knocked them for being secretive about the event details and prizes. Some of it was whiney but most was entertaining. Point was that this event, while pushed to that community, was the wrong community to push it to. They need to find the land rover or JK types that wear the fancy safari clothing and have no sense. Not the folks who know better.
Oh, and they did knock him on saying it would be the biggest event ever seen at URE. The orig 4x4 cross event will never be topped.
I don't like stirring the pot there. Too many people think they are slicker than they actually are (yes, I'm probably one of them).

Ha. I read it two days ago and it was very entertaining and had looked forward to seeing more. Oh well. Apparently when the going gets tough, uortc get going... Right out the door.

It was the event Carl Welch did and blew one rig up and killed a tree with the other. I'm sure you heard the stories about driving out in the dark, no headlights, and a ticket or 5
Terry said an event like that would never happen again out there.

I know Terry and regard her as a very rational person. Some folks just need a little nudge to sway their opinion. I have to contact her in October to receive my quarterly update on RML; will plant a seed at that time and see if it grows by next year.
