Call me a tight wad, skin flint, or just plain stubborn but I just orderred a Gates 350350 rebuild kit for a lil less than 36 $ off of e bay. Free shipping. I'l see how tough the rebuild is when the kit arrives. Thanks Bart.
I am trying to build up the nerve to jump in and install the Locker in the Dana 44. Its sposed to cool off some after Saturday so I'll likely wait til then.

Started making a shifter boot for the 435. Made a Aluminum plate to fasten the said boot to the tunnel. Then I took the evening off and went deer hunting. Got my first buck of the year and took it to the processor. Neck shot at 250 yards. Not bad for a shaky senior citizen.

The Lucas Oil power steering fluid / stop leak is amazing. I have witnessed it personally. It may be worth a try but could take a hundred miles to start working.

I think I will be ordering this set soon, Thanks William. Duff was gonna replace my rotten split 4 month old twin stick boot but wanted me to ship the rotten one back to them at my expense. I figure I would just have the cost of shipping invested in another rotten Chinese made boot so I have decided to cut my losses and find something better.

Tell Duff you don't wanna pay shipping and ask if they can swap it out at the 50th Super Cel and just bring it with and swap out in person then you can sell the new one and get a little money back also.

I will not when knowledgeable about something sell junk to anyone. I refuse to pass crap off. I'm just gonna ferget the whole deal and replace it with something which will hopefully be of good quality.

I got the front jacked up and on stands. Wheels off and cover off of the Dana 44.Drove the roll pin out and now I need to tear the hubs down to allow me to slide axles out. On mine I will have to remove the carrier to access and remove the Cross pin.

The knuckles on both axles seem to have spread just enough that they keep the axles from sliding out far enough to clear the splines on the carrier. I had this same problem when I put the U joints in the axles. Reckon I'll grind a little more off the shoulders so that they can clear and come on out.

Quick FYI- you might need to completely remove the carrier from the front end and take the ring gear off of it to get the locker in there. I've never had any luck just slipping one in place. Hopefully your luck is better than mine.
