Headlight problem

Please help i really started driving my bronco again after sitting a few months .And since then after awhile my headlights start flicking on and off .I've replaced dimmer switch ,voltage reg alt headlight switch, and ran a ground from each headlight right to the battery . Any ideas ??????????

Sounds like you've covered all of the bases. Have you looked at the fuse - maybe it's loose or corroded? Is your wiring stock? I had lots of wiring bugs in my bronco that caused weird things like that. When I put a new harness in I found numerous splices in the harness from previous owners that answered lots of electrical gremlin questions.

Is it both headlights flickering at the same time? Does it happen when moving or at a stop? Engine on or off?

Trace out the power wire to the headlight switch.

happens moving sitting still both headlighs same time. going to get another headlight switch today feels like this one is getting kinda warm.

when it flickers on and off i still have power to switch i'm about out of ideas .

All headlight switched I have ever had get warm.

You said you have power at the switch. Do you have power going out of the switch? I would use an analog meter instead of a digital for this so you can better see what is going on.

I do not think the headlights share a common ground but I may be mistaken since it has been a long time since I looked at the diagram. If the 12V out of the switch is stable it has to be the ground.

try another switch. there is a breaker in the switch. you will have power going to it, just not coming out of it if it's tripping.
might want to think about wiring up with relays and just using the switch as the exciter.
what type of bulbs are you using? stock or something with more amps? if non stock the relay package would be a good deal for you.
