Explorer Serp Conversion (PS Pump?)
#1
I did my explorer serp conversion on my 302 a while back and used the stock PS pump from the explorer because I heard it was pretty powerful.

The problem is that it has an external reservoir and the one I got was broken. I epoxied it for a temp fix until I could find a replacement reservoir.

As of now I have had no luck finding a replacement reservoir so I was considering replacing the explorer PS pump with a Saginaw canned ham that I have in my pile of parts since it has an internal reservoir.

Has anyone done this? Will it fit on the explorer bracket and line up correctly with the belt?

Oh ya, also considering doing a ram assist, so the pump, though great with the PSI ,does not have the volume output to support it.

Thx,
Mike

Oh, I forgot. In the meantime, if anyone knows where I can find a good PS reservoir and cap for a 96+ explorer (V8) please let me know.

Thx.
