Some dufus didn't put inside pad on left front wheel, metal on metal, scored the heck out of the rotor. Thefore, need new rotor.
Never pulled a front wheel off a 4x4, don't want springs come flying out on me. Learning as I go...we're not experts until we've done it a couple times.
Pins on calipers, do I need twist them 180 degress or how do I get the darn things out?
Got Chilton's and Hayne's manuals, Autozone pictures but I'm still lost.
Project truck for me and son (his first rig), prefer to not take it in and have someone do it for us. We learned all about rear brakes, now we're learning about the front.
Any special tools needed? Then take the hub with rotor to pep boys, get new rotors (might as well do both sides), get them to swap the rotors, then have them turn them, come back and reinstall?
I've got a lot of questions, few answers.
Any help is appreciated....son works weekends, doing brakes currently in autotech at school but no idea how to pull the pins on the calipers. Need someone that has "been there, done that" cratchhe:
Thanks in advance! :banghead:
