Finally all cleaned up and painted. I did a lot of cleaning before it was all torn apart. What a mess. The cleaning was the hardest and most time consuming part of the rebuild...
I did polish the shift rails as well to make shifting action smoother. Also used new retaining springs and balls.
Last thing I will leave you with for tonight is a shot of the rear end
I did have to cut the ends of the truss a bit and modify it to clear the inner U bolts. Forgot about them the first time around...
The Wild Horses hardware is super beef!!
Oh yeah, I did mount the wheels and tires (obviously). The wheels that I got with the 33" TSL's were Heep 5x4.5 pattern. They are now on Allied beadlocks. Went pretty smoothly but was time consuming. Ended up doing 1 a day.
