I know Im late to chime in, away again visiting famliy. The imput seal is very easy to change, and with the added stress of being in the eb its not uncommon to leak. You should be using atf(dextron) in that box. If you have ever used ps fluid it will dry out the seals and cause a leak.
As for you fan, here is another idea. I used a adjustible temp switch that slid into the upper radiator hose. It opened from 160-230. With that I wired in a cut off switch. This is VERY importent. If you go threw deep water the fan will suck that radiator into its self.
Its a hard habit to teach your self, but with a mechnical fan you need a guard, with the electric a guard works too, but much better to shut off the fan. I run 3 fans(trans, ps/oil cooler, extra engin) and one switch kills all 3. I'm no longer using the temp switch.
I prefer to just run them as much as posible. I think I got it at a Napa auto parts, once I get home I can look for the part # if you would like.
