Axle Tube Vents
#1
What are you useing for this? I think from the factory it was just a piece of hose, which is what Im thinking at this point of going back with. I know somebody has some little check valve type things.

I use a pipe fitting with a knurled end on it so I can drew it into the axle then attach a tube and run it higher than water I might go through.

the factory setup went from the mounting bolt for the brake line up to the frame corner (where the fuel line bends). It usualy had a blastic cap. You dont want use a one way valve as you want it to breath in and out. I personaly like using an old small fuel filter. That keeps the bugs out and keeps the air flowing, one suggestion is if you are playing in the mud or water much drill out the stock vent tube so it can flow more air.
