The VIN says that it is a 77 F150 4x4, 400 cib 2 BBL carb, made in Norfold, VA with a seq. 3 of Y61405. The guys swears that it is an F250 and that it has a 4 BBL Holley sittin' on it right now. Guess I might have to make a trip and see.....

that could be a great rig for trails. bob the bed(shorten it to the back of the tire), minimal lift, 35-38" tires...and it would be sweet
77 built 306,Trickflow Cam/Alum Heads/dome pistons/10:1comp,nv3550,duff long arms,3.5" lift,family cage,protofab rear bumper,twin sticked, and 35KM2'sG.D.I.

150 coils, 250 leafs in the front. F250 should have 8 lug wheels
I have a 351m, swapped timing gears and cam and that motor woke up. I also have a 4bbl Holley.
Make sure there is not a loud knock coming from the bottom of the motor, small knock, believe it or not, is okay. Make sure that it does not have the slave cylinder steering, big ugly lines connecting to the drag link, you don't want that truck! You don't want a full time 4x4 either.
Just my 2cents

@ Chuzie (thanx for the link: F150 4 Wheel Drive, V8 - 400cid, 4BBL carb, 167-177 HP)
@ Chuck: Bobbed would be nice...I thought also about removing the bed altogether too.
@ Joseph: I'll have to watch out for that slave cylinder steering!! The 4x4 is lockable and has the shifter on the floorboard...5-speed standard too apparently.
I have pics requested. we'll see how it pans out. I just might be making a road-trip this weekend. We'll see.
Thanx again!!

If is does have a 5speed someone put it in there they only came with 3 speeds or the 4 speed granny transmission, overdrive was not in the dictionary back then.
