kinda lost on what you are referring to with the extra sealant. if you are talking about putting something on each side of the gaskets, i would use aviation gasket sealer- it is available from any parts house and brushes on. it works great but is a bear to remove. i am not a big fan of silicone RTV.

I am not up with the times electronically, but you are welcome to come by my place to look at how the bracket goes. I am in charlotte, on the east side, near mint hill. i can text a pic if need be. pm me if you would like.

the upper (triangular) alt bracket attaches to the left side of the water pump. it is easy to line it up. just use a long dowel or the original long threaded rod to line the end that attaches to the alternator up to the hole in the cylinder head. just leave the alternator aside and match the hole in the head up. the bolt holes in the water pump will be easy to match up from there. the lower bracket attaches to the lone hole near the water inlet for the pump.

be sure not to use too much sealer. it can get in the water system if there is excess and clog the cooling passages.

Thanks. I usually would not use a drop, but the directions say to use some. I'm going to use Hylomar. Worked great in my Lotus days. Thanks for the info.
