I have been looking for a battery box for my bronco for some time now. I came across Artec Welding in AZ. One of their specialties is Optima Battery Mounts ( http://www.artecindustries.com/Group-34-..._p_77.html) for just about anything that rolls or floats! I wanted something I will never have to worry about again. Chrome is out of the question, so either SS or powdercoat finish would be fine for my needs. Powdercoat can chip on metal that flexes a lil too much. So I decided to go with a stainless steel box even though its $50 more than their standard mount unfinished. But here is the good part, they gave me a 10% discount over the phone since I'm part of a "Club"! The SS mount is not polished but that will be a simple fix on the buffing wheel. I can also TIG weld mounts to the SS box to fit the stock battery compartment.
This is where I need some help!! I may just upgrade the box top for $7 more and get a cool top. It will take a week to make and then ship to me. So I am asking, should I stay with the standard top or go with some of the 5 types of mounts? Great to have some feedback from ya'll!!:popc1:

I think it was a thumbnail pic. I couldnt enlarge it either. I stayed safe and ordered the standard top in SS.

I couldn't enlarge it either... I just clicked the link and checked out the tops on their site. That SS top ought to look sweet!

I'd buy plain if it were me, but if you have the cash to burn the skull does look killer.

This is the option I ordered, just not in chrome. I got it in stainless steel with standard top like the one in the picture below. My second choice would have been the Biohazard top option. Thx guys!
PS: They were selling this exact battery mount in chrome for $80. Get a 10% discount add in Shipping of $12 and you could have a nice battery mount.

I think that is the same mount I got before too... just in regular steel though b/c I had to do some fabbing on the mount in the cowl. Good Choice!

I got the battery mount today from the UPS man! Took it out of the box and the battery fits! Now I hope I can fabricate some mounts for it this weekend. Here is a pic!
