What kind of MPG are you guys getting running a stock 302? With 3.50 gears and 31 inch tires the best I ever get is 10 MPG. Last tank was 8.3 MPG. I know it's almost as wind resistant as a brick and she carries a little weight (don't tell her I said it) but it just seems like I got quite a bit better with the '68 I had running a 289.

If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!

Had a leak at the carb at the filter. Fixed it and seemed like it got worse. Gassed up yesterday and figured at 8.3. filled back up a couple hours ago and figured at 13! What's up with that? I might should consider fixing the gauge, but that would take alot of adventure out out of trips. Probably right and need to do some work on the carb. Like to scrap it and upgrade from the old 2bbl but giving all I got at the pumps.
