Does anyone know the specs for the 351W motor mount bolts that go up into the block? During my work to replace the oil pump, I noticed two were loose and two were gone. I think I put the wrong ones back in when I pulled the motor.

they should be no less than grade 5. Look for three dashes on the bolt head. Use lock washers too.

I'm able to find 7/16-14 at Lowe's but no 7/16-13. I also tried Carquest locally but they didn't have the 7/16-13 either.

7/16-14 is coarse thread. 13 TPI is for 1/2" bolts. Lowe's will have what you need. Isn't it fun to have to run back and forth a few times???
There is no such thing as a 7/16-13.

Yep, went back to Lowe's and got the 7/16-14. Of course now the motor is not lining up with the mount holes :crying:. It's about 1/16th off and I can't get the bolts in. I guess it moved when my Dad drove it down the street. :banghead: So now I guess I have to find a way to move the motor back. I guess the only way it to loosen the tranny bolts and get a jack?

I think I'll loosen the mounts and see if I can move them enough to line everything up. Nothing a little hammering can't fix right?

you are on the right track. loosen up the engine mounts from the frame (the big 3/4" nut) and use a punch through the bolt holes to try and line everything back up. you shouldn't have to loosen the trans mounts, unless the engine has shifted a lot.
