Other than the new area where the creek is now crossing the trail where we put some rock in already, I don't recall seeing anything major that needed attention. When we looked for the the rock on the big hillclimb that they wanted us to remove I honestly didn't see anything causing a problem. There was one rock near the top that was partially exposed which may the one she was referring to. I personally didn't see a problem with it being there, and even if we did need to remove it, I think it would be a major undertaking to get it out, she said that when the contractor was out they would look at it then and decide what to do.

I recall there was a pumpkin killer near the middle to upper third.

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

See you guys in the AM! It looks like we will have Jay, Nick, Clay and me. Just remember water, snacks, and gloves. I don't know how much we will get done. It will probably be very muddy.

Should we bother inquiring about Kodak?

Not really. Nothing good to report on Kodak.

Chuzie, we are supposed to be graced with the presence of the archaeologist next work day. I was informed of some stuff today and none of it sounded great. I'm not going to go into details on the web, but we will see how it all shakes out in the long term. I do know that the immediate USFS staff is doing everything they can to help us out.
We got a good bit of work done today. It was soft and muddy so we used the shovel and pry bar a fair bit. Fixed one split rail fence, dug out trail ditches, picked up trash, and tightened up the one long log bridge as best we could. For the next work day we will probably dig out the remaining ditches as needed (if the ground is soft), check for any remaining trash as we couldn't make it up the big hill climb today, and spend some time tightening and checking the log bridges. It shouldn't a very tough work day. If you can come out, please do. Biff??? SC bronco?? Doug or the collective group from Chuck town??? This coming workday will be the last one before URE will be open for the season. If you didn't know or hadn't heard, CORE (the group co-sponsoring Dutch John) is done. It is just us. If you can come out, please do!! Clay snapped a few pics today. Hopefully he can get some posted up! Big thanks to Nick H, Clay, and Jay for coming out today!

Archaeologist, huh? I'm planning on making the next one. It's a hump for me so I'll be planning on coming in Friday evening and cutting out Sunday morning. Thanks for the efforts, Fellas!
