Trying to get ideas. Looks like things may be shaping up to have Tellico the first weekend in May to avoid conflicting with Super Celebration. For those of you considering traveling to both events, realize they are merely two hours apart. That being said, I know I will only be attending Tellico in such a situation as I cannot make both of those long trips in such a 2 week span.
I would like to see some input from some of our regulars. Time to start calling folks out here. TIM - NICK H. - BIFF - JAY - Sound off!!! Quit lurking in the shadows.

I like the idea of both events being that close to each other but I don't see how they could work together on the same weekend. Heck, for that matter, windrock is even closer to the Super Cel but I can't see doing both unless wheeling was only on Fri. Not sure how many would be up for doing that.

If we go with Telico I believe there is a bronco group out of east TN and ATL area that ride there, if this is the rought we choose maybe we oughta coordinate with them and try for all of the groups to do a ride at the same time and have a large group of bronco's there. Noticed them on Classic talking about ridding there.

I like where your head is and appreciate the suggestion to integrate into a larger group, but I am sure I am not alone when I say large groups are not typically conducive to an enjoyable trail ride unless they are split into sub-groups of 6 or less. The problem boils down to congesting the trail with too many vehicles within one group. What would have taken an hour, now takes 3 and we spend a significant amount of time doing nothing. That being said, I have no experience with the layout of Tellico and cannot comment as to it's capacity or efficiency. Perhaps SCBRONCO can chime in here and let us know his opinion.
A perfect turnout for a CB event, in my opinion, is 12-14 capable rigs split into two groups per ride.
Spring Run = Tellico
NovRun = URE
Things are shaping up nicely folks.
I like it!
Waiting to satisfy my rock addiction until May will be challenging at best. Hopefully the SOWEGA ride on Feb 7 will provide me a small amount of relief.
Clay, better get those rock lights working. Looks like we will be night riding on new and unfamiliar territory @ Tellico!
Is it a conflict of interest if I bet I break first?

Yeah I will have to invest in some rock lights.
Its only a conflict if you place money on yourself breaking first.

Only if you help the break by failing to do preventative maintenance on the area that breaks

Helped coax opening day for base ball up to March 28th and firmed it up last night. That has been my issue in the spring lately. Spring break for the kids has them off the week of April 5th-weekends april 3-5 and 10-11 (as in no baseball). I have family about 20 miles from River Rock, will have to carve out some extra personal time for a visit if we head there. Looks like it's off the table, so no issue. About 500 miles to either for me...... and it goes with out saying I'm down for the wheelin'! I'd like to hit super celebration 1 year, April 16th to 18th Thursday to Saturday, right? Maybe wait for next year for that for the Bronco 50th Anniversary.

I agree that a group of more than 15 would be tedious at best. Some of the trails there are one way and even the two way routes are tight when passing traffic.
We encountered two groups of 5 while we were there and the act of clearing them waiting was pretty annoying.
On top of all that, the bowl area is the rock playground and each obstacle only has room for a handful of trucks to wait and spectate. The routes thought the bowl cross over each other and I can see it beco
IMF a cluster with a big 30+ rig group. Plus that weekend is likely to be busy for the park since it will just be warming up.
Just my opinion.
