Having done nothing but eat, sleep and breathe Bronco for the past few months while in Charleston, I can think of NOTHING I want to do more than hit the trails at URE. I am concerned my pseudo "cabin fever" is going to cause me to get into some trouble though. I may need y'all to babysit me a bit so I don't do anything stupid while getting my fix.
babysitting now that's funny

Lookin' like a good weekend to get some prep work done! Gotta show the 4door and Bronco Hauler some love. I need to get up with the Wilsonz cruise director on menu items and a possible departure time advance. I wouldn't mind getting up there Thursday night. The Humus/pepper dip and chips at the meet and greet I think was the only dish that went the whole night without getting touched!

Actually, the only reason my queso dip got touched was because I ate it. I guess folks are looking for more substance / creativity than dips. That is why I am doing jalapeño peppers this year.

Got an email from Deborah at the USFS regarding my biannual Rocky Mountain Loop inquiry. They had planned on making a decision on the future of the trail this past summer. Unfortunately, it was a very busy summer and that decision was placed on the back burner. Hopefully we will know something before April. I think we all know what the outcome will be, but I would just like an official disposition so we can have closure (no pun intended).

Less than a month before NovRun and I'm chomping at the bit to hit the trails. This is going to be the best year ever!
Wepuckett, let's get an update on your progress. Surely you made some headway this past weekend.

Seeing as everyone knows the government controls the weather, I took it upon myself to submit Form-1028-WR (weather request) to the USDA. I should receive a response in a few weeks as to the approval status. Fingers crossed. I think our odds are good seeing as they (the government) just flooded North and South Carolina. Stay tuned...

Had a major wrench session this weekend to get ready. Managed to finally install the Cherokee wiper arm upgrades.
I'm now ready for URE.
