Well after getting home, unloaded, put away and cleaned up and a quick nap I figured a short report was in order.
The biggest job they wanted to accomplish was to install guardrail on Daniel non of us really wanted to install any of it, and
apparently most there didn't want to either, so we ended up installing guardrail.
We were probably the smallest crew there, Sat. 5 of us managed to get approx 240' installed, that included digging the holes, and setting posts and rails. We also moved a couple of big trees they cut down out of the trail. It was a fairly hard day. Today we enlisted another group of 5 and quickly got the rest of the railing up, they bailed after that and we were headed to another area to help out when the FS asked us to install some on a new (unplanned) place. Spent a bunch of time waiting around twiddling thumbs waiting for official approval to dig the holes in the new area, which was a total pain. Once approved, we got that rail up and called it a day. I didn't get any pics, but Clay's GF did so he should be able to post a few later.
This heavy work weekend should take care of bulk of the work needed this year, the rest of the work days will be mostly trash, and simpler maintenance.
CB members there were myself, Charles/Bart, Clay and Emily, Larry - we sure made this club look good this weekend.
