Mark's89 Wrote:Hello all,
Went to fill up the other day and noticed gas running out on the ground,
Looked under and found the fuel hose is dry rot.
Checked dealer in K-ville and they said the part is obsolete???
Checked NAPA and they didn't know the size but said they might have something at 18.00/FT!!
Anybody ran into this and how did you fix it?
89 BII XLT mostly stock.
Thanks in advance, Mark.
Mark, I went to our local (Charleston Rubber and Gasket) they have every kind of hose. They have a special hose that I bought from them when I did my new tank. I only have a short piece left, but I could hook you up with the part number or the material, or even get it and mail it to ya. I wont see them until Monday.Just let me know,Chuck:xyxthumbs:

Any fuel proof hose would work as long as the size is correct. Doesn't have to be anything exotic.

Does JBG or any other vendor not carry this? I haven't looked on their site but that's where I got one for my EB. Doesn't make since that they have it for a 70's model but not an 80's.

Thanks for the replies,
Does anyone remember the I.D. Since it's my daily driver, I wanted to get the new hose
ahead of time. Mark.
