DWB Build Thread

I busted out the old line cutter made the first cut about 3 inches back from the radiator so I got the bend in the line, then backed up another 4 or 5 inches so I could get a straight cut. This gave me the bend needed to help routing the hose to the cooler and a straight section to connect to back from the cooler.

Surprise for Sure. Dadgum fancy chrome distributor lock-nut on allthread kept back'n off. Throwd it in the trash and went to stock (much better), finally got the EB on the highway. Think I missed it on think'n this thang having 354's; at about 60mph it starting turning pretty good. Possibly 410's - that means could handle 35's pretty easily. No tranny leaks

Got the new Heater core and seal kit and front steel brake lines in today from JBG. I'll start on it when I get back from Georgia this weekend.

Okay Heater core replaced, This was my first so took plenty of pictures. Drianed radiator then removed hoses from heater core & removed the four nuts that attach the heat to the firewall.. Under the dash I removed the glove box so I could se what I was doin. Then removed the fan and the control cables. Pulled heater out and found a mess leave and trash, old core weighed about 4 lbs the new one half a pound. Make sure you get the insulation kits you will need the foam and the diagram also helps.
I ended up taken a wire whell to the metal parts, cleaned the painted with rustoleum black paint. Hopefully this will preserve it for a loong time. I ended up taking it back apart a couple of times because (Oops forgot to put that dadgum peice in its right place) the easiest thing to forget is the brace that holds the core away from the main body of the heater and the foam insulation that goes over the tubes. Yep there is a one-peice for inside and two that go over the tubes from the firewall before you attach the heater hoses. Overall it wasnt too bad of a job, easily done in a day.
Plenty of pic's

Didnt upgrade Blower motor, even though I am in need of replacing the one I have, plan to stay with the stock unit for now. Got to do some research on the upgrade (Is it really worth the work?)

Well I've had the 74 Bronco for almost a year now. I ordered what I think is the last item that it needs. Power brakes on the way ,original delivery date was 12/24 oh yeah...but the storm delayed it until after Christmas. this kit came from Horsepower sales-llc. Looked to be the best buy for the buck, It is complete with proportioning valve and lines for the cost of the other kits basic stuff. Been driving it regularly and performs really good. Hope everyone has a good Christmas and I should be able to make a few trail rides in 2013.

Finished Pwr Brake installation went fairly easy. Had to bend a few lines and find an adapter or two, but overall I like the set-up. I would recommend the kit from Horsepowersales LLC.
Attached a feee pic's I hope.
