Front shock mounts
#1
So I recently put in some f250 shock mounts on the bronco. Well today the shocks I ordered came in And my desire to fast got a little ahead of me. So my shocks are a bit to big. [Image: a8e2f41e5d8613d2ce4ba2b0810f6187.jpg] So now I need some new mounts. So what does everybody recommend.

Just grind the shock down a bit. It's close.

I have to say I disagree, if you grind on the shocks you will void any warranty the shocks have. These shocks are can be rebuilt and revalved if needed, if you grind them you would have to pay for that. What about spreading the mounts apart and using larger spacers on the bolt. Not sure how strong they would be if ground down to clear the mount.
As a last resort you can sell them to me, LOL.

Guess the sarcasm font wasn't bold enough Smile

That sucks on the mounts not working. I'd be tempted to modify the tops of the shock towers to make it work. Otherwise, time to cut them off and look at some type of shock hoop

Can't flip em upside down first off they wouldn't look as cool that way 😎 and second of all they change the valving. I'm pretty sure I just cut them off and do it right and use a shock hoop. Now the main questions what shock hoop do I use?

I have no experience with hoops other than duffs. Mine work well but I have nothing to compare them to.

I like the ebay ones. The Duff's ones should work well too. Those WCB units are expensive!

I like the eBay set but am concerned he has so little feedback. I'd get more info from the guys on classic.
