After the 4.0 swap I realized that the tranny had some bearing noise so I drove it around and enjoyed doing so for a couple weeks before i got back into the tranny. Yesterday I decided to go ahead and pull the tranny and take it back to the JY cause there was only 2 days left on the 30 day warranty. Today I went and pulled the last FM146 out of the JY I sure hope it works, it was coated in a really thick oily dirt substance but it didn't smell off gear oil it was just motor oil. On the way home I stopped off at the parts store to see if my clutch had come in yet.( I returned my other clutch cause I smoked it a couple of times when I pulled the tree out of the ground last week so since it had a life time warranty I had it replaced) My new clutch had not come in yet so I went ahead and bought some purple power degreaser so I could clean the tranny up. that worked a little bit but I decided to whip out the pressure washer and boy is it clean now. I pulled the pan and checked out the gears, they all look good from what I could see. I also pulled the plate in the top to look inside and it also looked good so I resealed everything and closed it all back up. AND THEN THE !@#$ RAIN CAME!!!!!!!!!!!
so I closed up shop and went inside. I guess with weather permiting I will finish it up tomorrow.
