If you go with the 38" tires you're going to want 4.89 gears, maybe even 5.13s. You'll be lugging around with 4.56s.

chuck ran the same set up in his bronco and his worked just fine.

C'mon son....you better than that:hysterical:. That 1st gear in a 435 makes up for any lack of gearing. I drove mine all over town and the rock and mud. Wasn't perfect for great highway speeds, but 60mph aint that bad. would have done more, but I didnt push it at all.

I was thinking that the 435 would make up the difference but wasn't going to say b/c I wasn't positive.

I mean really you put together a tube buggy in like 6 weeks for RITS 2 years ago and now this thread is a month old and 2 pics? What's up with that?
Pull it out and wash off the floor mats or something.

i went out early this morning and started working on my 70. i had my brother and a good buddy come over and help me out along with a cook out and some cold drinks.
we pulled the top off and put in a new 2" body lift with body bushings from wild horses.

i plan to pull the cage back out one night this week and add in 2 bars and some of my cage gussets. then paint it and bolt it in.
