I want more gearing options...no Lomax for the np205F.So i would like to hear from some doubler guys that are running the stock wheel base. I'm concerned about the short rear drive shaft! Im using a HPD60/10.25,np235/205 now. I even placed a call with Klune-V for their option(nothing back yet). I have 4.88 gears and running 42"Iroks with 3.5" lift dove-tailed front(14")/rear(20"). I posted this on classic also for the west coasters.
as for the front axle...I want to move it forward before I weld it permanent. Im thinking I can move it forward and use the same steering box, but run the high steer arms behind the knuckles...any thoughts guys??

Chuck - I thought that you were going full hydro? What will you do for suspension if you move the front out - move the coil tower also?
you may want to put a call into van tumblin in laurens - he built jarrett's red one - remember it at Gulches that day? He's got a 435/205 (I think) with the kluneV. The rear shaft is very short and I remember commenting on that to van when I first saw it. After several trail trips I don't think that Jarrett has had any trouble with it.

good thought Robert...I forgot about that rig!! I think I have some picks of that too. I'm still not 100% sure on moving the axle...it looks tough...maybe front coil overs

you can probably only go 2" forward with the gear box. if you go full hydro you should be able to put it anywhere.

Hell yea!!!
I agree with Mike - you're limited with your steering box. I've never seen high steer arms run backwards - not saying that it can't be done but if it could I would think that it would be a popular trend cratchhe:

atlas=2400
klune=1700+450
black box=1600(450 if you want the shortest adapter)
stak 2 2400
stak 3 2900
NWF doubler 1000
oh well!

it never hurts to dream though! I've got a list of future mods to my crawler too - t-case, stretch the front axle and go full hydro, etc.
