Not really a Carolina Bronco
#1
But diggin the site.

I'm Shane Lowrance in Dinwiddie, VA just south of Petersburg. I have a '74 Bronco that I'm finishing a Cummins 4BT and NV4500 swap on. I've had the Bronco for 14 yrs and have tried various engine, tranny combos and hoping I'll leave it alone and actually drive it for a few years.

I'd post pics but it is all just a bunch of parts right now. Body is off to facilitate the engine swap. Drop me a line if you have questions about the Cummins swap or are in the area.

Whelp,

Here is my current progress as of 2/14/08 Just finished the rear crossmember after 5 trips to the parts store and 4 different orders. Seems the manufacturer was having trouble getting the right part in the right box with the right part #. Lot of work to get the right engine mount.

Whats the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? Yeah, I was close to committing myself.

Anyway the cross member is finished except for the paint. I wanted to blast and paint yesterday but it decided to rain all day. We decided to be on fire the two days B 4. It is snowing now.

And yes I know. The head is not painted. I got lazy.
