I haven't heard it. My wife had it towed home from work after a mechanic listened to it only for few seconds. I'm waiting to see if dealership is going to do anything before I investigate. we run 5w20 synthetic per owners manual. she has put only 7000 miles on it and had oil changed twice.
If you can't fix it with a hammer and a welder then your gonna need a new one!

so i reluctantly fired it up not long ago it is definately in the valvetrain. and after doing some research it is a common problem. she had the oil changed bout 3000 miles ago by a local garage and now im wondering if they didnt use synthetic oil as instructed. if not then on to check lifters...

ok time for an update. i didnt bother worrying about this until the nov. run. so needless to say i jumped back into this monday. after removing the valve cover i found the problem. the roller on the rocker arm stopped turning. i was very fortunate that it didnt destroy the cam.
All in all was not a hard fix and rocker was only 12 from ford. i will snap and post a picture of the rocker as soon as i take one.

well after chasing my tail on this one i believe i found the culprit. bad sparkplug. for 12 bucks a piece they should last longer than 10 minutes or 25 miles...
