Sounds like your crappy management has no backbone. The good thing about the military is if you don't like what mommy says, you just go ask daddy as long as you are prepared for mommy to be pissed at you when you come home.

It really isnt crappy management. My CC out here is the best i've ever worked with. I'd follow him anywhere, no kidding, and thats nto something i say about much of anybody. The problem is the guy that is running the travel program. he's prolly doing things right for the most part, he just shouldnt be talking to "us" about it... getting hope sup unecessarily... and he is choosing not to take action on the chance that it might not work...
CC has the reins on it now so im told, and things should start looking up... I wont go into anymore detial since this is a semi public discussion, but i think the management aspect is good as long as they know there's a reason to take action... its those who are delegated and afraid to take action that create uncertainty...

Thanks for all of your thoughts, and prayers. I am home!!! i got back about a week ago, and have obviously been busy catching up with my wife and kids, and other family.
I have also found some time in the evenings to turn some wrenches, and managed to dedicate a full day last saturday to it. i got the exhaust installed, altyhough i think one of the header bolts on the passenger side head needs a helicoil. Also got the power-steering installed, and brake booster/master cylinder mounted. DUI Dizzy is installed but needs wired for power and tach...
More to come on a good weekend for group wrenching. i got home a few weeks sooner than planned, and therefore have some more time to get things running and set-up. i really need to get a good list of whats left, and figure out when i can try and get it done myself...
Again, thanks to all for the well wishes, and prayers. its good to be home!

Welcome home buddy! Not too far behind you, should be home by Sept 1st. I've been buying up parts, including a halfcab from Chuck, but all of it will be going to storage. Got to finish up the garage and pour the rest of the driveway in the backyard. Oh, forgot to mention the hardwood floors the ole lady wants. Happy wife leads to a happy bronco life! I'll be wrenching with ya soon! Matt

Let us know when you have a date. I may be able to fly up if the timing is right.

not sure how it would be logistically, but if you want to do the wrenching up here (trailering your truck here and back), you are more than welcome. we've got the lift, plasma, MIG, etc.
Got a new HVAC unit on order for the shop. I'M EXCITED!!! Been really hot lately. Bet your garage down there feels 2 steps from hell right about now. (ie- close to Columbia, right crawdad)?
