Well, it looks like the rain is holding off. Clay and I will be there. Meeting time has been pushed back til 10am. Bring a lunch if you're coming. Snappy won't be there tomorrow.
We will be working on the log crossing by the bottom of the Dutch John hill climb.

I sure picked a good day to join up. LOL Looks like ya'll did a good job. I will try to come to the March work day..Will be in a 11 Z 71 unless the weather breaks nice so I can get some major work on this tired ol pony i have been throwin money at for a couple of weeks. Is the creek crossing complete or do you plan on adding more rock to it? What is planned for the March work day? Anyway it'll be nice to meet some of you.

I wont be there but the other guys will. Welcome aboard. Glad to have you. We are always happy to see new faces, especially those willing to give back to the trails.

The next work day is Sat March 21. We will meet at the Eldorado Outpost at 8:45am and head to the hunt camp for sign in with the forest service. The address to the outpost (it is a gas station) is:
4021 NC-109, Troy, NC 27371
The agenda for the day will be to fill some more rock into the stream crossing we worked on and check on the remainder of the trail to see if anything else is needed before it opens on April 1. Plan to bring water, gloves, snack food, and clothes to keep you warm (depending on the weather). If you can make it out, post up and let us know!

I plan on being there. Not sure how much help I will be. I have only rode the trails up there once last summer. How rough is Dutch John? I have a stock Z 71 that we could use to hall some rock if it will handle the terrain.

Sounds great! It isn't too bad if it is dry. Your truck would be fine. If wet, whole nother story...
At worst, I'm sure one of us will have an open seat for you to ride in and out.
Like all our work days, this is weather permitting. If it is pouring rain, there isn't any sense in going out there.
