Very comfortable and ride height seems to be 1 inch or so higher than stock seats. The starter solenoid decided to die now. So its back to town I go. Sent from my NEC-NE-201A1A using Tapatalk

The bolts I was trying to think of are called Elevator bolts. They have a square shank like a carriage bolt and a flat head like a washer. What I ended up using were button head allen bolts and the heads on them cleared the sliders fine.
broncosbybart Wrote:Not sure on bolts. On nuts they do a jam nut that is thinner. I would probably use a button head allen head type bolt. They are pretty low profile.

After further troubleshooting the start or should I say failure to start situation it appears the Ignition switch start circuit has puked. I checked with several of the bronco suppliers and was shocked that they want nearly 20 bucks to ship a new one. I refuse to be gouged like that on such a small item. I guess I will be putting a universal switch in it.

check with some where like amazon or summit see if they have it, sure you could find enough from summit to get free shipping once you find a couple other things you want

Awight I got it worked out with the start. I got 2 bad solonoids in a row from Advance Auto. BMD was the brand. The only other brand I could find local was Duralast Gold and the first one from there corrected the problem, it came from Auto Zone.

I'm thinking it is time to send the Power Steering box to West Texas Offroad and get it rebuilt. The only problem is the seals are leaking and getting worse. Has anyone ever replaced the seals and if so did they hold up? Not sure about these seals being available locally but do you think it would be worth a try in order to reduce down time and save some cash.

It is doable. Here are a couple links that might help. Some seal kits are more complete than others.
