Rear disc

I took the rear disc brake set up off an old Ford LTD 9". How do I put it on my early bronco? I assume the LTD had a large bearing set up and would need to change my current bearing set up. Help me!!Confusedcratchhe:

You still have the original housing in your rig? What year is it?

Carl - Does the LTD have a 5x4.5 or 5x5.5 bolt pattern?

yes, I have the original (small bearing) housing. I do think the LTD is a 5 on 4.5

I did not think of that before I got the set upConfusedcratchhe:

Carl, I had that setup on mine for a while before I switched to the kit I built.
There are some flaws with those kits.
1 they have a smaller lug patern than the trucks. So you will have to redrill the lug holes in the rotor.
2 you will need a big bearing housing to make it work.
3 You will need larger lug studs(like the orginal lincon had).
Those calipers are expensive, but you can swap normal front calipers if you dont want the ebrake setup. I was never a fan of them, mostly due to the h pin (like the stock fronts) they tend to stick and burn the inner pad.
If there free, it would be worth trying to find a big bearing housing.

That should be the early BB housing on the caliper brackets. They should fit a full size or F150 rear. There is also "Torino" big bearing that floats around out there.

I used the brackets, rotors, and calipers from a '92 Grand Marquis on my small bearing rear under my rig. Took a little fab work but not too bad.

Have you thought about weld on brackets for a dirt track car? I believe you can use either a '80's F150 or CJ7 front rotor with them and S10 calipers. You may have $100 in the entire swap with out an emergency brake. But if you need an E brake you can use Eldorado calipers at $100 a side.
