Installed my Christmas gifts today on my dads old bronco. The Duffs new steering stabilizer was pretty straight forward. I also installed Duffs hood strut kit. It was a lil more involved but to not bad at all.

Also did some work in the areas where the new fuel tank will go. Years ago my dad and uncle installed a "13 gallon" aftermarket tank. I believe he was told it was for an old bronco when he bought it, but as you can see they had to notch out part of the frame so that the fuel neck would fit. They did a poor job of notching it out so I ended up squaring it a bit better so I can weld in a piece of angle iron. I'm doing this only bc the old tank may go back in this beast in the long run. I took a wire wheel to the frame along with a grinding wheel to take off 40 years of rust and chit! No sense in installing a brand new tank in a dirt oily area. I figured the new tank would appreciate it and besides it looks nice too. I have a few welds to do bc one of the horns has cracks, plus I want to try and square up the rear tub a lil better so that the hard top will shut better. I'll probably keep sanding away until I get most of the rust off before applying some Rustoleum rust primer then final coat it with some black enamel.

Yea I know what you mean! I don't see it either! In the beginning I was going to replace the rear fenders, but changed direction. I want to get all my goodies installed on the 76. Once I get it squared away I'll start on the 72 uncut tub with Chuck's old 1/2 cab top. I want to have an old bronco to drive around instead of kept in a garage for two or three years taking up space. I promise I'll start on my real LUBR in the near future!

Oh come on now. 2 or 3 years? Mine has sat for at least 10 now. Still about in the shape it was when I got it... Why not get 5 or 6 of them that don't run and go from there
