#1
Ok guys Im looking for ideas pictures or anything on mounting a spare tire in my half cab bed. I currently lay it flat. But I got a deal on a tuffy drawer and I cant lay the tire directly on the box. So I need ideas. Wanna keep everything low. so lets hear it

well, you dont have many options...its a half cab. will the tire not stand up in the bed, while the tuffy is on the floor? maybe build or buy a rear bumper with a tire mount on it? i had a duffs rear w/tire carrier...it was nice, but didnt want to carry a 38" on it...so i sold it years ago. also, if you not worried about having the "stock'ish look"...lose the tail gate in favor of a tubed out gate angled with the spare mounted there...like a baja rig

what he said..

or, put in on the hood the the old land cruisers. oh wait, that won't work. we'd have to remove the tire to open your hood every time mine needs a jump start...

Which is what I said Smile I'll take credit where credit is due. I would never reverse polarity on the jumper cables and battery terminals, either...

BTW, are you still looking for some frame rail sections? might have found something, as posted by Shags.
