Took my bronco to the woods this past weekend. This was about the time I noticed the grinding noise, sorta like the drums are touching sound. That will be another thing ill chk toake sure it's not too tight. Been a rough weekend with my wife's uncle passing away on Friday. It's his property I hunted on.

WANTED: auto column, gas tank, front/ rear seats
This is the PS box on the 77 F150 4x4 I have. Is this the 4x4x2 steering that guys are upgrading to? Don't really care if its a four turn or six turn, it's gotta be better than what I have right now. Will this bolt up or will it need mods to fit?

Spent Sunday adding some parts that's been sitting around. New vinyl floors are in but not cut to fit just yet, need some much warmer days. Added the hard plastic door panels from JBG along with the arm rests I won from M&G 2012. Guess its safe to say I like a black interior. Still have the black stock seats to add once the floor is firmly in place.

x2, Crawdad.
BTW, that is the box that the 4x4x2 conversion is based off of. you will need to modify the mounting points. when I did the one on the ECORS racer, I bought the frame kit from chuck at BC broncos. I know you can weld, but if you don't have a plasma cutter, I'd say don't do it. There was a pretty healthy amount of cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding required. It isn't what I'd consider a 'weekend warrior' type of project. Not referencing you there, but the majority of the 'tinker on your bronco for fun' types.
Charles, I'm gonna take the easy road and just mail it off to Texas Off Road and have them rebuild it. It maybe weeks before I can drive this booger. So why not do this during the down time. I really want to sell the 77 f150 instead of parting it out. The 4x4x2 will needs mods plus a longer tie rod. Maybe ill do it for my actual luber build. Going to pick up a 77 frame (title included) with front axle next two weeks.

Got home a lil early today and was able to take out the PS box. Came out pretty easy from the top, don't know why I was so worried about taking it out. Didn't have to remove anything. Drained it somewhat well and cleaned fairly well with some degreaser. Gotta run by the Post Office and find me one of those "If it fits, it ships" boxes. Sending it off to Matt at West Texas Off Road to be rebuilt.
Here are the pics of the new door panels and vinyl floors!

That is how I ship em and it is friggin awesome cheap. Make sure you wrap it in rags and then in a trash bag or a few wal-mart bags. There is ALWAYS fluid left in there and it WILL seep out and the USPS WILL freak out if your box starts leaking or shows signs of a leak. Oh, make sure it is packed in there pretty secure so it does not shift or the first jackass that tosses your box will watch it get ripped to shreds.
So are you just getting a rebuild or are they going to port it too?
