C4 question
#1
I won a C4 on ebay out of an early bronco. It comes with the dana 20 as well. I called the guy and told him to send the tranny but he could keep the dana 20. It will save over $100.00 not to get the dana 20.

The question is

Is there anything off the dana 20 that I need for it to be complete?

It would be wise to get the transfer case also. You will need the input spud shaft and the seal adapter.

Carl where is the tranny?

I would think even if you don't use the D20 it would be worth getting all of it.

Then you could sell or keep it for a spare ect.

just my .02

i cant afford a stak right now so i thought i would help carl and buy that one and build it up a little. someone that knows a lot about these should post up the differences and upgrades you can buy for them up in the tech or how to articles section.

I've been debating whether or not to go that route or a Stak case. I'd hate to get $1,200 deep and regret not doing a Stak and having 3 speeds. It is nice to know that WH has a sale on the HD output shafts now though.

Get the case carl, you cant have too many spares. Plus, yours has that funky front output yoke(and needs overhaul). A spare rear out put is worth its weight in gold as it is the weak link of that case.
To save the coin of going atlas I would get the lower gear set. I'm not a fan of doubling, the eb has too short a wheel base for it to work well.
