3.5" suspension is the upper limit for a stock shaft. I suspect you may either have a bad u-joint in the cv or the cv head may be toast. Try pressing the shaft vertically from the bottom on the transfer case side. Do you get movement? If so, it is likely a worn cv bearing. I don't think that would cause your wobble though. A wobble in the shaft is most likely from failed bearings in a u-joint cap causing a shift in the center line of the shaft.

For the best shaft out there I used Tom woods. They stood behind there product with my agressive trans and it has lasted more than 5 years with no problems. I ate up 3 shafts from the bronco vendors.
With the lift you realy should have a longer shaft.

3 1/2 inch lift is borderline on a stock shaft, I think I ran my stock shaft with a 3 1/2 lift for a year and then took a trip to Tellico and had to get a new one. I guess it just depends on your flex and how often you push it
