Another Bronco Floor Replacement
#51
I think there are probably as many right or wrong ways to do it as there are opinions on it. I just did mine the way I did it because it sounded like the best way to me since I am not taking the whole body off the frame. Your way sounds like it may be a good option since you say you are taking the body off the frame. Or at least that's what I think you're saying.

chuzie Wrote:Looks great. Did ur new panels line up or did they take a lot of tweaking?

Sent from my GS3 on Cyanogenmod with T2.

Hey Chuzie... The panels lined up pretty good except I had to trim quite a bit off where they go up to the firewall. Followed Bart's good advice and tried to get them to stop where the bend in the floor meets the firewall. The dimple for the body mounts was off somewhat on the floor but I attribute that to the fact that I'm sure that there was some variation in the trucks when they were manufactured over the years and also due to the fact that the body has been flexing for about 40 years.

Anybody have any recommendation for padding between floor and carpet? I was thinking about this:

Ended up going with Wild Horses "Racket Jacket" Shipping cost of some of the others played a big part. Haven't received it yet. Anyone have any experience with the Hook and loop carpet from Jeff's? I wanted to go with the hook and loop because I think it is more authentic for the year and also the hook and loop doesn't seem like it traps sand so bad. Also considering the carpet from Tom's and Wild Horses.
