try reversing the turn signal wires...i bet right now the run lights in the front are using the "brighter" element..which wont draw enough causing the flasher to work...just a thought

I had the same problem when I was doing my harness. Just trying to remember how I fixed it.

The hazard and turn have separate flashers.
Few quick questions...
When was the last time you had turn signals that worked?
Do you have power going to the turn signal flasher from the main power (i.e. fuse panel, 12V source)?
If so,
What color wire do you have going from the turn flasher to the column plug?
It sounds as though you are not getting power to the column from the turn flasher. Respond with the info and we can go from there.
Also, is your horn working? Seems as though you are either missing a circuit or have an earlier setup that does not incorporate a horn relay.

both flashers work
the turn signals worked just like they should before install of the new column
I could not find a wire to match up with the "purple"feed wire from the column
so i temp. hooked it to the 12v horn wire "this could be my problem"
if so what wire do i hook the purple feed wire to?
also if my stock column worked with the before mentionedwires in my previous post why would i need a "new" wire for the new column?

the purple wire may not have anything to do with the turn signal but to be sure I need to know what color wires you have hooked up to the flasher and, in turn, where that wire is hooked into the column.

My first thought is to follow the line from the turn flasher into the column. I would venture to bet it needs to be connected to the purple wire. I will see if I can pull some other data and trace some diagrams for you to be sure of what is going on. I am sure of one thing, that purple turn feed has no business being connected to the horn.
