Is it a one piece or 2? Mine seems to be leaking and I am just trying to figure out how long it will take to chane it out. I think the earlier models had a 2 piece, but I am not sure what year it changed.

I am 99% confident it is a one piece which means more work for you.

That's what I figured was going to be the case. Such is life though.

What year model block? I used a late 70's block for my 393W. It is a 2 piece. I'm not exactly sure when the 1 piece became standard, but it is some time in the mid to late 80's.

As far as I know the truck is completly stock, so I would guess the block is an 87' as well. I,m just not exactly sure what year they changed from the 2 piece to the 1 piece.

I talked to a buddy of mine that has been a ford mech for about 15 years. He does not have much exp on ones this old, but is sure it is a 1 piece. Just more work to get it changed out, no big deal.
